Everything CAMACOL does ultimately comes back to the community we serve.
For more than four decades, CAMACOL’s Christmas food distribution has been one of our organization’s most cherished traditions, providing food assistance during the holidays to economically disadvantaged and food-challenged families throughout our community.
This year’s Mario O. Gutiérrez CAMACOL Holiday Christmas Basket Distribution will take place Wednesday, December 2, 2026, at loanDepot park, in conjunction with the Miami Marlins and our valued sponsors and community partners.
The initiative is led with the support of CAMACOL’s Jabas Committee, chaired by Pedro Mesa of Sedano’s Supermarkets, who has welcomed the CAMACOL Development Council/Foundation initiative and the opportunity to bring together business, culture, philanthropy, and community service in support of families facing food insecurity.
Proceeds generated through the Elsa Basil art initiative, including the November auction of the artist’s donated work, will help support this important community effort.
It is a fitting example of how CAMACOL intends this expanded initiative to work: Culture creates engagement. Business creates opportunity. Partnerships create impact. And our community benefits.
